Description
Operating a brush chipper is a hazardous job task that requires proper planning, safety procedures, well maintained equipment and operator training.
This program includes both classroom and hands-on skills practice. All participants are responsible for bringing the following safety equipment:
· Safety glasses
· Gloves and Safety Vest
· Steel or composite toe shoes
· Hearing protection
· Hardhat and face shield
Topics Will Include:
· Setting up a safe worksite
· Debris removal and the ground team
· Material handling and body mechanics of debris removal
· Proper personal protective equipment
· Understanding the Owners Operation Manual
· Chipper controls and safety features
· Safe operation of the brush chipper
*Class size is limited to 16-1 registrant per member
